A GEORGE V BASKET HILTED 'DISMOUNTABLE' SWORD, early 20th Century, with 32 in. double-edged steel blade with two narrow fullers on each side, foliate etching, ricasso with proved plug, steel guard, black fish-skin grip, pommel unscrews to allow hilt to be changed, together with its steel-mounted brown leather field scabbard and sword frog, blade with heavy 'salt and pepper' pitting, wire binding absent from grip, 40 in. overall
